Dave, born in London is a STAUNCH LIVERPOOL SUPPORTER!!
(Too long an explanation why Liverpool!) He is based
in Stafford. He is pioneering a church and is actively
involved in his local Town. His use of wit and straightforward
talking is in demand at various events and churches
and he also heads up Activate Christian Youth Camps.
David is married to Elaine and has three great kids;
Joel, James & Rebekah. |

Dawn Say
Dawn has been part of the activate camps team for 4 years and is one of the leaders responsible for activities at camp. She is a partner of the Bridge Church in Woodford and works there full time as their Finance Manager. But her real passion is kids work! She has run one of their community children's clubs called Frantic for the past 8 years and is also one of the leaders of their children's ministry team called Activ8. Dawn is married to Steve and has three teenage children, Dan, Katherine and Charlie. Her vision is to see children not just find God but to develop a life-long relationship with him and to grow into confident teenagers. She has also been part of children’s mission trips to Slovakia. |
Barbara
Lawrence
Barbara has been a teacher for 20 years and is currently
working in a secondary school in Essex. She is also
part of a growing church in Rainham. She has the ability
to plan & organise events and these skills are utilized
at Activate.
She is the MUCH older sister of David.

Mike Garvey
Mike has been involved in Children's Ministry for over 20 years and in Youth ministry before that. He has coordinated the children's ministry team at The Bridge Church Woodford for the last 8 years and joined the Activate team in 2006/2007. He is married to Bev and has three children, Caris, Zoe, and Ella. He is a full time police detective sergeant. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, photography, walking his dog Max and is gadget mad. He has been a Christian for over 37 years. |
